Virtual Events for February 2021
Greetings to you and to all of our SoFried slamily!
January 2021 was a busy month for us! We started it out with a Virtual Town Hall (1/17), a virtual open mic collaboration with Rooftop Rhythms Poetry Open Mic Night in Abu Dhabi (1/22), and a Head 2 Head Haiku Winter Deathmatch (1/26). Thank you to everyone who took the time out to be a part of one or more of these events.
For February, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special virtual event called Couplets on February 14. Throughout the month, we will be launching our My Black Is Poetic campaign which is a set of video performances from poets of the SoFried Poetry community. You can also learn about great Black poets and writers in history by checking our social media channels daily throughout the month. Take a time to peruse the info below to see how you can get more involved with our monthly happenings.
Sincerely,

They say never date a poet, but sometimes it actually works out! Join us for an evening of artistry and conversation where we celebrate poets who have found love with one another!
These couples will make you laugh, share stories about what it’s like in an artistic relationship and drop some gems to encourage you to believe in love. We hear so often about love gone wrong. SoFried Poetry invites you to see how we’re defying the odds!
Mindfulness and Meditation with Isis: A Love Of My Own: Why Self-Care Matters
Tuesday, February 16 2021 @ 9EST / 8CST
Info:
As we continue to navigate uncharted waters, it’s so important to check in with ourselves because the mind, body, and soul need restoration. To do this, we need ways to pour back in to ourselves because running on empty is not beneficial in the end. So let’s get together to share how we’re doing. Let’s also take a look at what self-care in So Fried looks like and ways to improve for our overall well being.
This is a Zoom event.
