My Black Is Poetic Campaign
Original poetry performances by specially invited poets of SoFried Poetry community and performances of poetry by famous Black poets in history will be posted on our social media channels.
Our aim is to highlight Black voices in the SoFried Poetry community, to educate on topics related to Black history, civil rights and empowerment and to celebrate famous Black poets in history using the hashtag #MyBlackIsPoetic.

2021 National Poetry Month Celebration
Featuring Dr. Henzbo’s Haiku Hullabaloo, a weeklong celebration of haiku for members of Southern Fried Poetry, Inc.
As a part of our programming for National Poetry Month in April, our aim is to host a week of content geared toward writers and appreciators of haiku. Our intent is to produce a variety of programming that will appeal to a wide audience in hopes of increasing memberships, social media followers, and patrons of the Echo virtual event space.
The programming will consist of a three-session writing workshop, head-to-head haiku competition, and an afterparty.

2021 Virtual Poetry Fest
SoFried Poetry presents a fully virtual online festival and competition with cash prizes presented to winning teams and indie competitors.
The competitive aspect of the festival will be broadcasted on Facebook Live and YouTube free of charge while exclusive events such as side bouts, workshops, and other premium content and activations will take place in our avatar-based Echo platform which was well received for our 2020 festival in August.
