We are celebrating the end of the fiscal year, and this letter is intended to inform the Southern Fried community about pertinent news and business.
First, we’d like to congratulate the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina for hosting a memorable festival. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who worked diligently to ensure this tournament was a success. Hats off to our winners:

Second, one new policy was voted into place at the 2019 slammaster’s meeting: Only the top 4 Indies may now advance to Final Stage (formerly 12) – SM 2019.
The winners from 2016 Tournament in Greensboro, NC have been paid their winnings in full. You may read our Letter to Slammasters Regarding 2016 Prize Winners for more information.
Additionally, 2020 hosts Liz Prisley, Giddy and Wally B provided the collective with an update on next year’s tournament in Tampa Bay, Florida. The host city appears to be well underway with preparations, and we on the Board would like to express how excited we are to return Southern Fried to the city.
Finally, we are elated to announce that Richmond, Virginia was decided upon as the site for our 2021 tournament.
