Win a SF2021 Registration Sponsorship!
Hello, SoFried Poetry family!
We know that finances may be limited for some teams and Indies who have either already registered or are interested in doing so. For that reason, we are launching an initiative to pay for the registration costs of at least two teams and two Indies.
Qualfiying teams and Indies will be entered into a live random drawing on May 15, 2021 at 1pm EST. Teams and Indies who have already paid for registration can also participate in this initiative. If your name is drawn in the random drawing, you will be refunded your registration costs.
You can qualify by following the steps below.
Step #1
Team representative or Indie needs to share our official event flyer (attached below) and the following post and tag at least 10 friends on Facebook and IG:
“The 29th Annual Southern Fried Poetry Slam is taking place virtually this year from June 8-12. 32 teams and 16 Indies will compete to win $6,000 in cash prizes. If you’re interesting in competing, visit https://www.southernfriedpoetryslam.com/2021-virtual-poetry-fest/
We need judges! You don’t need any expertise in poetry to judge a bout. Simply fill out the following form at https://www.southernfriedpoetryslam.com/volunteer
and let us know your availability. #SF2021 #sofriedpoetry #southernfriedpoetryslam #virtualpoetryfest #poets #poetrylovers #poems”
Step #2
After these steps are followed, make a screenshot of your post and send to info@southernfriedpoetryslam.com. You will need to specify what team you represent if you are not an Indie competitor. Your team or Indie name will then be added to a random drawing which will be held live on Facebook on May 15, 2021 at 1pm EST.
Note: Drawing winners will be required to pay a deposit ($75 for teams/$50 for Indies) to secure their team or Indie slot. This amount will be reimbursed by June 15, 2021 if the drawing winner competes in the 29th Southern Fried Poetry Slam. For a team and/or Indie that wins the draw and previously paid their registration fee, deposit will be withheld from reimbursement until the same date and will be paid out as long as they compete in the festival.
