My Black Is Poetic Campaign

To celebrate Black History Month, we are requesting any original poetry performances dedicated to Black history icons and their accomplishments.
If you don’t have a poem which fits that criteria, feel free to record a video of you reading a poem of one of your favorite Black poets in history. Please preface cover poems in the following way:
“My name is __________ and I am performing (name of poem) by (name of poet).
Submit your performance video as a WeTransfer link to info@
Your submission will then be posted to the @sofriedpoetry IG and Facebook pages along with the hashtag #MyBlackIsPoetic.
The initiative lasts all month, so we look forward to your submission.
